Fermer Goes To Capital Hill; Increased Rail and Intermodal Capacity Essential
March 9th, 2009
Fermer Precision V.P. of Operations Mark Cushman joined industry and government leaders in Washington DC on Feb. 24-26 to lobby members of the 111th Congress to support key legislation aimed at enhancing freight-rail capacity and intermodal utilization in the United States. The sessions were part of the 2009 Railroad Day on Capital Hill.
"It's essential that public and private sectors collaboratively explore all material procurement and delivery strategies that might strengthen our many great central NY businesses, and as a result the region and State as a whole," said Cushman.
Fermer is a recognized leader in short and long run, high-precision CNC machining for the rail, aerospace, emission control and automotive transportation industries.
