Senator Seward Visits Fermer Precision

May 18th, 2009

State Senator James Seward visited Fermer Precision on Thursday, May 15th, as part of his tour of small businesses in the region. Along with meeting with company management and employees, the Senator was also introduced to some of the new technology that Fermer Precision is utilizing to expand the company's marketability.

Over the past year, the company has introduced numerous value-added capabilities including on-site component leak-testing, vacuum impregnation, electron-beam welding, and light assembly functions. The company has also steadily increased its involvement in the aerospace, hybrid electric and fuel cell vehicle sectors.

Seward commended Fermer for their foresight, saying "diversifying production is positioning this company for a bright future," and stating that he believes there is much "pent-up" demand in the industries served by the company. "We are already seeing some signs of recovery, and when the economic tide turns once again Fermer Precision will be there, leading the way," said Seward.
